About Metal Sentinel

One API for metal prices, and a news desk that explains them.

Metal Sentinel launched in 2026 to give developers a single, fast REST endpoint for live and historical prices across ten precious and base metals, with the same quote available in 180 or more currencies. Alongside the API we publish market recaps and metal guides so the numbers come with context.

The data

Spot quotes come from a licensed primary market feed, not from scraped or aggregated rate tables. Live quotes are refreshed every 15 seconds during market hours, and daily history is available for every metal.

The API

Twelve REST endpoints sold through RapidAPI, with a free plan of 7,500 requests a month and no credit card. An OpenAPI spec and embeddable widgets are included.

The coverage

Weekly recaps, monthly outlooks and per-metal guides written by our markets desk under a published editorial policy. Figures are checked against the live feed before publication.

How we work

Limits are published up front
Every plan's monthly quota and rate limit is listed on the pricing page and in the API's structured data. There are no surprise caps.
Same data on every plan
Free and paid subscribers get identical quotes, history and refresh rates. Plans differ only in request volume.
Corrections are visible
Substantive corrections are noted at the bottom of the affected article with the date, as set out in our editorial policy.
We answer
Support, source questions and correction requests go to info@metal-sentinel.com or the contact form. We reply within 24 hours on business days.
