About the metal

What is Lead?

Lead is a dense, soft, low-melting-point base metal whose modern demand is overwhelmingly driven by lead-acid batteries used in vehicles, telecoms backup power, and grid storage. Roughly half of annual supply comes from recycling spent batteries, making lead one of the most-recycled metals on the planet. Spot lead is quoted on the London Metal Exchange.
